The W.C. Handy Birthplace, Museum & Library exhibits the most complete collection of famous Blues writer and musician W.C. Handy’s personal papers and artifacts in the world, including his trumpet and handwritten music. Located near historic downtown Florence, a number of other historic sites are nearby as well as McFarland Park and the University of North Alabama. The library serves as a resource center for African American history.

Open Tue. - Sat., 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Closed Sun. - Mon.
